Research Nurse Coordinator - Head & Neck Surgery

Colleen received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Rockhurst College School of Nursing (now Rockhurst University) and worked as a medical surgical nurse before moving to El Paso, Texas for a two-year service commitment with Americorps.  Her time with Americorps became the catalyst for earning a Master of Public Health from St. Louis University, School of Public Health (SLU) with an emphasis in Behavioral Science and Health Education. She worked as a public health nurse and at SLU conducting research on physical activity and asthma before coming to Washington University in 2013 as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in the Head and Neck Surgical Division of Otolaryngology.  Colleen transitioned to a Research Nurse Coordinator role in 2017 where she works directly with study participants, performs data management and analysis and assists with report and manuscript preparation.  Through her work as a Research Nurse Coordinator, Colleen is able to combine her clinical expertise, her research background and her passion for improving health outcomes.
