Amir Kucharski, BS

Rotating MD/PhD Student

Amir got his BA in Chemistry at the University of Kentucky before joining the MD/PhD program at Washington University. His undergraduate research involved the use of statistical thermodynamics and molecular dynamics to characterize the physical basis underlying the selectivity of ion binding in an EF-hand protein called Parvalbumin. As a rotation student during the summer of 2018, Amir worked on the in silico design of a multi-cancer selector for ctDNA detection.
